HISTORY

The Bedford Inn was known for several decades as The Brown Motel.  Construction on the building began in 1958 by locals Charles & Lillian Brown and building continued through 1969 as the business grew.

The Brown Motel quickly became an icon in our community and provided a comfortable home away from home for visiting families.  When the Browns retired and sold the motel in the early 2000's, the name was changed to "The Royal Inn Express" and over the years sadly fell into disrepair--the building was ultimately abandoned.  A real sad story, folks.
